Loading Docs is a launchpad for New Zealand documentary shorts and documentary careers. As an initiative, Loading Docs is committed to supporting and developing diversity in both filmmaking talent and the platforms on which New Zealand documentary stories are seen. The programme takes filmmakers from idea to distribution and provides participants with support, training and networks.

Our new theme is Tūmanako/Hope covering stories of mortality, the fight for racial justice, unique access to Waikato Mongrel Mob’s president and an underwater battle to protect a native fish.
Seen on a myriad of platforms online, on-demand and on the big screen.
